About Martin

Utilising approximately 15 years gold prospecting experience starting back in the late 1980's (and pursuing other ventures before coming back to detecting) , Martin Stone as the owner and creator, proudly introduces Detecting Golden Stone Adventures.

Martin started out in mining as a hobby in the outback of Sandstone WA.  Over the years his thirst for finding gold grew into a passion for gold detecting and the outdoors.  Martin has also been professionally employed to research, explore and prove leases for mining companies.  This has driven Martin to explore great amounts of virgin ground and has designed the locations of his Adventures to put you in some of the most unexplored and productive ground in our gold fields.  Over the years Martins dedication to gold prospecting has evolved into a community of like minded friends to share his knowledge and experience.

Martin has personally found several multi ounce patches, a multitude of smaller patches and a spectacular 50+ ounce reef in 2018.

As well as detecting, Martin is a proud family man who loves all things outdoors.
